In March 2023, my painting “Perpetual Motion” was featured at the Center For Architecture in NY for their 5th Annual Art by Architects exhibition. I’m so grateful to have shared the stage with so many inspiring displays of artistry and to have connected with some of their creators along the way.
"Perpetual Motion" is an evolution of an artwork that originated from only one session during July 2021. During May 2022, I distinctly remember myself feeling like this painting "was looking at me strangely". After a few days of finding myself becoming increasingly unsatisfied with where I left it, I decided to reapproach it with fresh energy. Several introspective paint layers later, I landed on something much more fulfilling. I've occasionally had desires to revisit my previous artworks, but have rarely acted on them. I'm so glad that I followed my instincts this time, which led me on a rewarding journey filled with moments of clarity, peace and joy.
