295 5TH AVE

Project start & completion dates: August 2019-December 2022

This major repositioning project has evolved this historical 5th Ave property into a modern office building destination tailored for the modern professional. Our design concept celebrates the neoclassical style of the original building design, while evolving this fabric into a more contemporary language with the following features:

2 story penthouse addition that reinterprets the existing arched streetfront openings with modern materials and detailing. The rose copper metal coating color was custom created to be complementary to the existing building materials, while creating a unique skyline presence. This natural extension of the existing building serves as a crown for the project while providing expansive views of the Manhattan skyline along with wrapping terraces.

Modernized arched custom windows and storefronts at the street level

New marquees at the main lobby bays along 5th Ave

Expanded lobby space that blurs the exterior and interior with a hospitality centric design featuring natural materials and a network of planters.

Courtyard space provides an urban oasis from the hustle of Manhattan.

Cellar amenity space providing additional collaborative opportunities.

Modernization of windows across facade

Base building core upgrades including additional elevators

I played an integral role in the development and coordination of this project through the DD Phase until completion. My role increased during the CD-CA Phases, which involved CD’s, samples/shops reviews, mock-up reviews, regular site visits, field reports, punch lists, intensive coordination w/ contractor, fabricators, consultants and client.

One of my biggest contributions to the project involved leading the collaborative process with our metal coating manufacturer on the custom color for the penthouse metal cladding. This involved coordinating several rounds of custom samples, site visits, mock-ups to achieve the specific aesthetic we had envisioned.
