This commission is an evolution of a series that I began two years ago, which features hydrangeas created with varying sculptural palette knife techniques. With each element, I challenged myself to continue pushing the boundaries of what I can discover with this sculptural approach. I’m so grateful for this incredible opportunity to have shared my artistic passion with my old friend while reconnecting with each other along the way. This was such an enjoyable process and I really appreciated the balance we struck between trusting my artistic vision and developing feedback loops to ensure we were aligned with its evolution. It warms my spirit how we brought this to life and I'm so elated with how it turned out!
