MONARCH BUTTERFLY

I created this artwork for my sister’s birthday in Dec. 2022.

During the Summer 2022, when I was creating her Hydrangeas triptych, I considered adding a butterfly but decided against it to maintain the composition. Ever since then, I've wanted to create a separate piece for her that featured a butterfly landing on a flower.

The monarch butterfly and the white cosmo flower symbolize several things, but the main sentiment I wanted to convey was the beauty of finding strength, peace and joy in new beginnings.
